While the pandemic posed unprecedented challenges, it also served as a catalyst for innovation and adaptation. We recognize that the fashion landscape has evolved, and we are dedicated to empowering fashion designers to thrive in this transformed industry.

Georgian Fashion Foundation is launching the prize for established designers and brands to provide financial and business support to the Georgian fashion, art, and creative industry representatives.

GFF Prize rewards fashion designers, selected for their talent and outstanding creativity.

GFF PRIZE

Georgian Fashion Foundation has announced support of Georgian creative industry as its priority. However, this support must not only be a matter of declarations, it must be visible to every participant and industry representative. To make this priority visible and clear, in the year 2023 Georgian Fashion Foundation launches GFF Prize to provide both financial and business support to the Georgian fashion, art, and creative industries, where talented players of the industries are increasingly being afforded global recognition.
Presently, the industry facing an existential threat and without support a number of talented designers might generally stay out of the business.

GFF Prize is a prize, launched in 2021 by Georgian Fashion Foundation, to reward established creative forces, who need support and tutorship. GFF Prize offers sponsorship, collaborations with retailers and mentorship every participant can claim.

Terms of participation:

— There are no restrictions regarding the country of origin, though we encourage Georgian talents to participate as well
— Minimum 3 years’ experience of execution is required
— The brand should be already stable and existing with branding and visual aesthetics formed
— It should be women’s wear design, men’s wear design, unisex design or accessories design.

The deadline for the application is the 15th of October 2023.

While GFF team is evaluating results, all the applicants get access to “GFF tutorship program” — a unique chance to get tailored mentorship and tutorship from the leading international experts of the industry and members of Georgian Fashion Foundation board and team.

Which includes:
— webinars with experts of the industry (communication, design, production, marketing, advertising and a lot more)
— Lectures on brand-building, sustainability etc
— Trainings “How to work with influencers”
— Public-talks with experts and industry representatives
— Online meetings with buyers

Meanwhile the committee of the Prize selects 10 semi-finalists, who proceed to the next level. The semi-finalists shall be announced on the 10th of October 2023.

On the next level the Jury auditions the semi-finalists and chooses winners, who get Prize #1 and the audience votes for the winner of Prize #2.

The winners shall be announced during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in November 2023
